You should see some of the boats we do that are too big for our 55 ton travelift. We haul them on the commercial marine railway at Pacific Fishermen. Sometimes Pac Fish is too busy and we go to Lake Union Drydock. 100'+ boats. Lots of paint work and systems.

Homemade 1/2" flat stock. Much much cheaper than G10 and almost as strong. I make 4x8 sheets usually. Simple hand lam in a clamping mold, anyone can make one in an afternoon and then crank out all the stock you need.

Put two pieces of 1/2" with a wet layer of matt in between them in a taco bag, and voila!, 1" flat stock.
