My new NFM ports

Replaced all eight old beckson ports with new ports from NFM, followed Maine Sails advice and went with bed it butyl.

Very nice. I'm about to install 7 NFM port lights in my Flicka replacing dead lights. I will be bedding with butyl too. Will have lots of visibility not to mention fresh air below.

Thanks, I used the nasty sticky black butyl from NFM bedding the frame, spigot supported all around to seat unit, but used Maine sails advice to go with the grey buytl instead of the messy sealant for around the permiter of the outer trim ring and the threaded cast parts that receive the bolts, I believe NFM has a EPDM foam tape for this as well.

Thanks, you won't be disappointed they're fantastic looking as well as functional and seem amazingly solid, if the Beckson plastic ones held up for the better part of three decades, well these should outlast the boat.

Jim, there are two adjustable hinges at the top which set the user preferred tension by way of an Allan key, same for the CAM DOGS on the bottom for pressure on the gasket, plenty of adjustment in case you want to add screens which are available from NFM as well,

Very high tech method of keeping the ports open. I envy you. I have eight bronze Spartan opening ports and they are a great asset. The ventilation provided by opening ports has to be experienced to be believed. They really look great on your CS. Very neat installation.
