Mounting a Metz Manta Antenna on a Rail

My mast mount antenna is busted and I am not going to pull the mast quite yet. Instead I would rather mount a Metz Manta on the railing, but it seems the antenna mounts I am seeing (at West Marine) are all male threads, designed for Shakespeare antennas.

The illustration below sums up how one would need to adapt the Manta to work with the mounts from West.

Clearly this is overly complex. I see something for sale in the UK, but I cannot believe such a simple thing would need to be shipped across the pond. Also, the bracket I see in the UK would be about 28 dollars before shipping.

What are my options for attaching to one inch rails? Must I fabricate something that would seem rather common?

What about Metz's optional rail mount?
