Can anyone tell me what brand/ model hydraulic wheel helm I have, or How I can tell. I need to have the Ram and pump rebuilt.

Thank you,

might you have a picture of it, as have just had my rebuilt at a cost of 170.00 and was done real good, no more small leaks. Might I ask why you need it rebuilt? I still have the original papers for my ram and pump, when the boat was commissioned.

I will take some pictures tomorow and look for any numbers, The reason I want them rebuilt is small leaks, when I got the boat 3 years ago it leaked right by the wheel shaft. But lately it is leaking more and more.

Thank you for the help

if you are going to have it rebuilt, just take it in. Most times once they are open the parts are easy to know what kind.

OI33 Steering System

The unit is mfred by Hynautic. They were purchased by Tecnautics (sp?) but rebuild kits are avail from marine distrib. West Marine can order them. The kit is a bunch of o-rings and nylon washers and costs about $25.00 The rebuild job is fairly routine. Your cylinder is probably a K-1.
Try searching under hynautic on the net. If you cant find what you need, wmail me and I send copies of the sheets I have. Bob Tigar bjtigar1@netzero.net

I took the Pic's today but while down in the pit I found the brand Hynautic the pump modle number is H35S the Ram I have not found any numbers on it yet, I need to clean some things out to get down in there.

I made a call to this one shop and they gave me a cost of $190 to rebuild the pump but on the ram she said she needed to know if it was Brass or Alum. so I need to find more info on it. If it is Brass the rebuild is around $400 if Alum around $185. But while on the phone she told me for as much air as I have been puting in without adding fuild I need to check just for air leaks ie. air valve and gage.

At $25 to rebuild myself I will do the no matter what because I know I had a small leak there.

thank you for the help.
