Mexico Haulout before Pacific Crossing

We need to haulout on the Pacific Coast of Mexico for some minor work including anti-fouling before our Pacific crossing in Spring. We're looking for a travelift that can handle a 27' beam -- any recommendations would be appreciated. We're currently in Costa Rica heading north and if we don't find a good option in Mexico, we'll have to head up to San Diego -- but a haul-out option in Mexico would allow us to hop-off for the Marquesas from Cabo and avoid the additional 1000 miles up to San Diego.

Try Berkovich boat works in la paz. They are not the cheapest but should be able to handle your boat.

The travelift at Marina Riviera Nayarit in the Puerto Vallarta area can take your boat too. They can haul big cats, and have hauled Latitude 38's boat. It'll save you some miles.

Something to keep in mind if you live aboard is that at Berkovich you will be on a railway at about a 10 degree angle to level.

Unfortunately, Baja Naval has a 22' maximum beam.

Re: Mexico Haulout before Pacific Crossing

Many thanks all. Marina Riviera Nayant in Puerta Vallarta with its 32' beam 150 ton travelift looks ideal -- has anyone had personal experience there, or able to draw a comparison with Marine Group in Cabo? Many thanks in advance for any wisdom!

Re: Mexico Haulout before Pacific Crossing

as i stated friends had their tri hauled there.
my experience there was an excessively high estimate for haul paint relaunch. more than usa.
when one makes their negotiations with the correct person the rate is lower.
this IS mexico.
they did excellent work on my friends boat and for a reasonable rate.
