Metal plating or re-furbishing of door hardware

The door knobs and related hardware on my 1986 boat have a lot of pitting and it doesn't appear the manufacturer (`Doghead-2 levers'??) is in business anymore for replacing them. There doesn't seem to be any local metal plating companies around San Jose/SF these days. Any one know of a company I can ship these to for re-plating, even out of state?

Google "vintage car chrome plating" and a bunch of sites will pop up. These guys are use to doing small specialty work.

Food for thought: Triple chrome plating can be expensive and time consuming, especially if your hardware is pot metal and needs repair. It may be more cost effective to replace the hardware you have with the closest match.

Update: I shipped the hardware to Guadalajara (from Puerto Vallarta) and for $120 incl. shipping had it re-chromed. It looks SO MUCH BETTER but not perfect quality and I won't know for maybe a year or two (or a month or two??) how it holds up.
