Re: Mechanical Knotmeter ID

I have removed the Sumlog and set it aside for now in the "what was that for" pile. Any one need any replacement parts? Free if you pay shipping. I have the cable and dial indicator too.

Re: Mechanical Knotmeter ID

I had a VDO Sumlog on a boat for a number of years--I used a universal speedometer cable on it and still have a spare cable if you want it for free--FREE--for your info they still make these --- PAPCO 310-281 Universal Speedometer Cable Kit. They rust out eventually but you could prolong the life by letting it soak in hot oil. Mine worked great but they are prone to being knocked off by thingees. Contact me about the cable--just pay for shipping.

Re: Mechanical Knotmeter ID

Thanks no. I have removed the device and glassed in the holes. It was all in fair condition and if there are any readers that are interested in all the parts I will send them free for whatever the shipping costs. Or pick up for free in the Seattle area.

I have this on my Catalina 7. It is attached to a VDO Sumlog which still works perfectly.
