Are you looking for a salvage yard or a consignment/second-hand store?

Sailorman in Ft Lauderdale is one that comes to mind.

What about the annual Dania fleamarket? Supposed to be the biggest used boating equipment event on the East coast.

I've bought stuff from the place that Guy mentioned. It is Monkey Fist Marine Salvage at the Green Cove Springs Marina...

Steve is the owner.

There is a big one just north of Fort Pierce... cant remember the name, everything from hardware to cushions to tanks.....
Just go north on the Old Dixie Highway... it's before St Lucie.

Used stuff is priced about 110% of new , there new really old stock is about 20% cheaper than a much newer equivalent. They need to adjust their pricing

That place in St Augustine is awesome!!!! Good selection and realistic prices

The fleamarkets have become way too commercialized unless you can make the one at JSI in St Pete.

Discount marine surplus N Ft Pierce is ok but mostly powerboat stuff.

Yeah, second hand prices are stupid sometimes! I have to say, it's been seldom that a bargain piece has worked out. I have a box of those bargains out in the garage. But occasionally.....

Re: marine salvage, scrap yards

Sailors exchange in St Augustine, and Don's marine salvage in Clearwater are the two best that I have been to thus far.

Re: marine salvage, scrap yards

totalrefitdan,

You can go to boatpartsferret.com and find about 18 stores and yards in Florida. Just scroll down the right column and find "Search by Country & State," then select US and Florida.
