Our
boat has a great condition top, and front and front corner isinglass. Does not appear to be very hard to create a template to connect the trailing edges of the front corners, and the top. The most difficult part may be the rear section. Our thought is to use white
sheets to create a template for each side. pin it up draw, mark out windows, etc, install zippers on the front edges and top, on both the side piece and top. (The top unzips off the frames for easy removal) leave the bottom extra long so we can be sure of exact fit. My wife is a very competent seamstress, and we have a hvy duty husqvarna, and accesss to a large
commercial grade machine. We do have a line on the materials for a good wholesale priceI am also thinking we could save enough doing it ourselfs to buy a nice used
sailrite machine, but if we can avoid it that would be fine unless its a Deal!
I am looking for
advice from others who have done this. and any tips you can offer would be greastly appreciated. It just seems so expensive (2k plus) for something we are capaple of doing for a fraction of that.
