Maintenace training

Is there a good book, book, or course around DC that teaches, boat maintenance?

Nigel Calder has a couple of excellent books on boat systems and diesel engines. Just look 'em up on Amazon.

Also, I expect there are boat owners in the DC area who would love to help you with some OJT experience!

Re: Maintenace training

Don Casey also has good material to read. I started with my engine, boat and outboard manuals, then added from books. I have a 3 page maintenance plan that puts items into weeks, months, & year categories. It is generally kept up todate. A few months here or there doesn't matter as long as it is done in most instances. I write in the date when I do the job and it is then an easy reference.
As I am doing my PM I am also looking at other items around it. Also as things break, I might add it to the plan if needed.
Yea, even with the plan things break.
