Re: Lost the Boom on my Aluminum Mast

I am sorry you lost your boom.

Unfortunately the scrapers are picking the boatyards clean, but I suspect as others have said that you could find something you cause or can make work for less money.

Good luck whatever you do.

Re: Lost the Boom on my Aluminum Mast

have a at a marine salvage sites. there are a number of them online in the east coast
as long as the track fits the bolt rope of your mainsail i would think you are good to go the extrusion can be cut down to the proper length and the end fittings reinstalled. and you will need the gooseneck fitting for the mast.
good luck

The boat in question is a 26 footer
Welcome to the forum.

It's just possible that if you tell us what sort of boat the 26 footer is, someone has a boom from that boat out in the back yard.

Why keep it a secret?

cruising is entirely about showing up--in boat shoes.
