Line conditioners?

Been away from the US for the last ten years or so but still actively sailing. Every time I go to use a line, itís always hard due to salt water in the fibers. Has anything, other than fabric softener that we used before we took off, entered the market place? Tired of working with salt encrusted lines

Nixwax Polar Proof is far more effective and lasts far longer.

Soak and wash the ropes in a bucket to get the salt out. Rinse well and allow to dry. Treat in a bucket (a few ounces to 3 gallons). Keep reusing the dregs (with a boost) to treat more ropes. Do not rinse.

Lasts 1-2 years.
