The pipe idea may be what I can use, just use a hole saw and make a hole in some lumber nailed to a plywood A frame on one side and two longer legs on the other end. I should have enough room to get a 4;1 set of blocks to lift it. I'll take pictures. When the batteries finally need replacing I will be switching to a lighter variety. Thanks to all.

I was able to add a bow eye through the cockpit locker for a lifting point above the batteries. Then I rigged a 5:1 to give me the lift needed.
