Has anyone replaced the lense and seal/gasket on a
lewmar rollstop
hatch? Hatchmasters, who sells the replacement seal, describes the job as "very difficult to install. Don't say we didn't warn you" in red.
I am not concerned with cutting new
acrylic, I just want to know how hard it is to put the
acrylic in with the seal? it would seem that the seal has a lip that fits up between the glass and the frame. It has to be pulled up from underneath while simultaneously pressing down with the glass. Is this correct? Is it that hard? any goop to be used, or does the seal do the job dry? Any lube to help slide it in place? tools?
Thanks.
