Some advice please from my colonial cousins :-)
I have Lewmar
hatches onboard and they have red locking levers in the handle.
Trouble is, these levers have integral moulded ears that snap off over time and the levers drop out!
There is a web page on the Island Packet
forum that discusses replacing these ears with dowel pins.
See link Island Packet Photos (LEWMAR HATCH HANDLE LOCK RENEWED - Album_ID 624)
He mentions dowel sizes 0.093 x 0.38 - what the heck is that ?
I am guessing its inches expressed as decimal ?
so 0.093 = 2.36mm & 0.38 = 9.65mm
or am I way off base ....
helpful clarification appreciated ... or alternative remedies ...
