Lewmar Fixed Portlight Leak

I have a Lewmar Fixed Portlight about 34" long on my Hunter38 which has started leaking. I need to rebed but I am not sure which bedding goo to use, some mention Sikaflex (to many different types, which one?) then Dow Corning 795 and also Butyl (not sure if this is similar to Sikaflex?) I do not want to do the whole job and then find I should have used an alternate product. Any proven product that I should use?

I've had great seals with 3m 100%silicone 30yr.
If your port is plastic, manufactures tell you only silicone.
If its aluminum, be sure to use marine grade silicone, as it has no acidic components which can begin an erosion of the aluminum framing.
10 people will tell you 10 different products here.
A thing to remember is that eventually you'll want to rebed.
So, if it's easier to remove later thats a good thing.
