The term “18-8" is often used to designate products made from 300 series stainless; including 303, 304, 305, 316, 321, 347, etc.
18-8" is not an actual specification, as it only refers to two different alloys ( 18% chromium & 8% nickel nominal) in the steel.

Pamlico it is an old c&c. I hope to be bringing it to your area soon.
FWIW I,owned a C&C 36 for 22 years.Dropped the keel when purchased to inspect bolts.Had some rust on top nuts and washers bolt's were fine replaced nuts and washers.Ten or so years later did a repeat same condition noproblem with bolts.Sold boat passed ridgid survey with no bolt problems.FWIW
