jib sheet winch location change

Does anyone out there know ...is it possable to relocate the jib sheet winches farther aft on a 31 foot island packet? They look to far forward to handle wail at the helm. Wisdom needed. Thankyou.

Designer/Builders usually pretty good on this point. Maybe laid out for 2+ crew?
I had this problem on Blue and added a set of 48s for single handing.

If you can lock your steering in place temporarily, tack slowly, switch sheets, back to steering to maintain a course, lock steering again, adjust sheets then back to steering.

It just takes practice. I do it all the time single-handing.
