I've Got the Mast Down - Suggestions?

We pulled the mast the other day for general maintenance.

How great is it to have a next door neighbor with a crane???!!

The wiring conduit was rattling in the mast as it had let go of the pop rivets.

I'm moving the radar dome to the mast, and replacing some tired VHF coax.

What do I need in the way of wiring for a Wi-fi receiver mounted halfway up the mast?

I've got lots of room in the conduit.

Thanks in advance for your ideas.

Change the lamps at the anchor/running, and masthead/steaming light(s).

I would check for pitting and corrosion at all the places on the mast where fittings and brackets are attached with SS fasteners. Remove all SS fasteners, coat with Tef-gel, add nylon washers or pads under parts where appropriate and re install.

Both are good suggestions; I do an inspection in a bosun's chair at least once a year.
Mast and all fittings are in good shape thanks to the PNW rains. No corrosion anywhere.
The mast is 46' and most of the original conduit was in 3 pieces, held only by 2 pop rivets!
The whole original installation used only 4 rivets!!
The rest of the conduit had fallen out as small plastic shards.

Needles to say, we're REALLY looking forward to quiet at anchor.

My main question is what type of wire should I add for future use?
I'd like to easily slap on some type of Wifi transceiver on a spreader, but not have do deal with snaking wire down the conduit if I can install the wire while the mast is lying in my yard.
Do these units use ethernet wire, 3 stranded shielded, or other?

The type of wire you need depends on your application.
I am planning on a Power over Ethernet approach with products from Bitstorm.
