Both are good suggestions; I do an
inspection in a bosun's chair at least once a year.
Mast and all fittings are in good shape thanks to the
PNW rains. No
corrosion anywhere.
The mast is 46' and most of the original conduit was in 3 pieces, held only by 2 pop rivets!
The whole original
installation used only 4 rivets!!
The rest of the conduit had fallen out as small plastic shards.
Needles to say, we're REALLY looking forward to quiet at
anchor.
My main question is what type of wire should I add for future use?
I'd like to easily slap on some type of
Wifi transceiver on a spreader, but not have do deal with snaking wire down the conduit if I can install the wire while the mast is lying in my yard.
Do these units use ethernet wire, 3 stranded shielded, or other?
