Is there a boat yard in Mazatlan that allows me to work on the boat myself

Hello all,

I'm planning on taking my boat (Erickson 32) out of the water in Mazatlan for the summer and have some work done on it while I'm away and also do work on it myself when I'm in the fall. Places like the Fonatur marina have haul out and maintenance services, but I haven't read anywhere that they explicitly allow you to work on the boat yourself.

Has anyone had any experience with this? Are there better drydocks to go to?

Cheers.

fonatur is the only place your boat will be hauled. shrimper yards are best for heavier boats.
i recommend berkovich in la paz, via a friend, or san blas, mx, via same friends, where you need your own crew to get the work done. best of luck.
if engine is good, make it to san blas.

Fonatur yard in mazatlan is full for the season and has 17 boats on the waiting list....just spoke to them last week.
San blas has room and you can do your own work.
