Interior paint

So, getting ready to do some maintenance inside...and looking for some advice on interior paint.

Cheechako is a 39' Landfall pilothouse. LOTS of teak down below, and what little walls (is this the correct mariner term?) there are are painted a very stark white. Paint is old, peeling and just plain dingy. I really don't want to go with bright white again...any suggestions? Both in color and type (i.e. do I need special marine paint? or just oil based? or does latex work well?).

Am leaning towards something in the taupe line (ladies, you know what color this is) or even a bit of sand.

Boat is in South Florida, in case this makes a difference.

beadboard looks great on bulkheads (walls)and they give a shippy(is that a correct term?) kind of look,never painted the inside of boat myself good luck..
