Re: i am re-naming my boat '5200'

Yep, paper towels or TP. You've got to wipe and get rid of the wiper immediately! It's amazing how much m paper you can use for one little sealing job.

It's been said before, but the tube needs to be fresh so you aren't applying to much pressure. I wore multiple pair of surgical gloves and used my finger to spread then peel the gloves off inside/out... I like the smaller squeeze tube rather than a caulking gun.

"When does it expire??"

The guy who set that price is on vacation until next week. I can't yell at him until he comes back. I guess it's good until next Monday at least.

To be fair to him we often buy a pallet of 5200 and blow it out at about cost.
When I get tired of giving it away it'll go back to about $12.95.

That's a great price. Not sure I can buy it wholesale for that.
BTW: Does anyone wonder if the commercial construction Polyureathane is any different than the 5200...? I mean..... it holds in high rise windows 40 floors above crowded sidewalks..... and comes in a multitude of better colors than 5200...?

Not sure I can either.

I don't know, but we turn 5200 white pretty quick. I think I'm about to toss some Mahogany and not reorder it.

Ocean Girl, ask me for a quote on the paint when you're ready for it. Maybe we'll have a special sale then! Send me an email through the website. I see them all.

Ergzaktly.

I have spoken to Five people at 3M concerning what the code means. Some know and some BS. Two of those that "know" contradicted each other.

I even had one guy tell me that it is good for two years after the date of sale. HUH? I made him tell me that three times! Not as bad as the IRS reputation but, I mean, come on guys.

Re: i am re-naming my boat '5200'

All I know is it has a pretty short shelf life. Don't stock pile 5200. Only buy what you're going to use very soon.

I know why they call it 5200 each time you use it, it get on 5200 things. Hands and fingers counted separately. Just make sure you only put it on items that will never have to be removed I mean NEVER. Good luck with all that.

I am laughing with you.........

Re: i am re-naming my boat '5200'

I started keeping bees back in March. I just extracted honey for the first time. It gets on EVERYTHING! At least it washes off easier than 5200, and tastes better.
Don't ask me how I know it tastes better.
