how I paint the very bottom

There are 4 meter tides here and I found a great sand spit with soft sand. 15 minutes of digging and I can completely access the very bottom of the keel.

I put towels or something under where the the boat contacts to avoid pushing sand into the paint (after that side is painted) or it will embed sand into it.


This also works nicely on harder mud, and even hard sand, but I don't recommend soft mud because it's difficult to dig out and gets mud everywhere.

Pretty ideal looking place

It really was ideal with zero wind coming on and off, the only problem is the sand flies (I'm still itching the next day)
