Honda BF100 outboard

Does anyone know if this is the water flush for the Honda BF100? All the online manuals don't show this hole but it appears to be the only place to flush. Help would be greatly appreciated. ThanksClick image for larger version

I don’t see the normal water intake places.
Try this, put the motor in the water, run it at idle and of course make sure it stays in neutral, put your finger over the hole and see if it pulls a slight vacuum and the water stops peeing out.

Re: Honda BF100 outboard

I used to own a BF100 (10HP) 1980's vintage.
It did not have a hole as shown in your pics. Your hole would lead into the gearbox.
Mine had 2 screws on the port side for checking & filling the gear oil.
The water intake was a "snout" above the prop (under the cavitation plate)
See this manual. Len

I just had another look at your first pic.
It looks like there is a "screw plug" above the mystery hole.
No idea what it is for.

Re: Honda BF100 outboard

There're four holes in the bottom end that match the one your looking at. I believe they're production jig mounting points. The water intake is the screen covered skeg just behind the prop on the cavitation plate. Your hole in the picture seems to have been eroded to larger than original.
