Heel Print in Cockpit Gelcoat

Hmm - neat sort of indent from some bugger (not me) with a heavy step down off the seat. Crack all around the indent, which is about heel size, and I can feel it is a little mushy in the middle.
What is the best way to repair ?

Sounds like someone stepped on a void. Voids are pretty common. If it is not crushed down, you can tap it and the sound will tell you the shape of it. Drill two 1/8" holes at opposite ends and inject thickened epoxy using a syringe from Gudgeon Bros developed for that purpose. When epoxy comes out the other hole it should be full. Let it harden, cover the two holes with a tiny drop of gelcoat (epoxy has no UV resistance) and you're done.

If it's crushed down and badly broken, that's another story and a lot more work.

it doesn't look to pushed in - you can still stand on it (gently).
So I'll try your fix thanks!

I did the same repair where I had a small void under the gelcoat, the epoxy works great however gelcoat won't adhere to the epoxy where the holes were drilled.

How would you repair this larger sort of damage?
