heated floors

just curious if anyone has ever used any of the electric heated floor mats in their boats? was thinking of installing on on the sole of my boat then covering it up with a rug. the output of the mats im looking at is approx 200 watts but im not sure how they would stand up to life on a boat. anyone have any experience in this area. thanks

Re: heated floors

I expect it would work fine and the boat can't be any harsher on it than a concrete floor is. But feeding it 200W all the time might be a problem.

Re: heated floors

primary use i think would be at the docks connected to shore power. my concern would be moisture sand etc.
