ok I just obtained this sailboat and the keel
is evidently crooked, its leaking at the joint... this is a steel keel
that represent 52% of the boats total displacement
. obvious the steel
keel did not bend therefore the bent occurred in the sump part of the hull
my plan before removing the keel is to straiten it back to original... I want to hagn the boat so the keel is totally suspended in mid air, at this point I might if I have to heat the hull
to allow some stretch on the compressed side.
I want opinions about this and also tips on reinforcing the sump.
