Grand Banks 36 Classic

Looking around Grand Banks 36 Classic, from 1976, seller claims 4000 hours on twin Ford Lehman 125 hp diesels, rather good condition of the teak decks, but all systems old, navigation probably from 1970s and 1980s (Navtech autopilot, Koden radar etc), lot of maintenance, especially wood, done by owner and not professionals, interior needing complete refit, probably as well as other things that are claimed to be completely functional. Interested in reliable marine survey on Mediterranean, things to be aware of, etc, before trying to restore it to full glory of Grand Banks 36.

Re: Grand Banks 36 Classic

Try posting in grandbanksowners site.

If the radar works, it is fine if it is old. I prefer an iPad with Navionics to most chart plotters.

Good teak decks are key.

Lehman Fords are either 120 or 135 for the 6-cylinders or 80 for the 4-cylinder. They didn't make a 125 hp.

Good luck!
