Galvanic corrosion - Bonding rudder bearing?

I've recently replaced the lower rudder shaft bearing on my boat. Inspecting the old bearing (installed 3 years old) there appears to be some galvanic corrosion evident.

The rudder bearing (JP3 type 4) has an aluminum housing. The rudder shaft is stainless steel, fitted with a carbon sleeve separating the stainless shaft and the aluminum bearing.

Any thought on connecting the bearing to the bonding system, as a way to protect the bearing from galvanic corrosion?

Before you do anything, you might wanna consult this one from West Marine:

The West Advisor: Marine Grounding Systems

I hope the link works...
