Fuel tank monitoring system

The tanks on our "new to us" Hans Christian 38 Telstar cannot be monitored with our trusty dipstick method and we really don't trust ourselves to write down every minute we have the engine running and calculate fuel reserves so . . .
Anyone have experience with some of the monitoring systems out there? Hart's Tank Tender or others?

Re: Fuel tank monitoring system

The tank tender system is excellent.

Very accurate uses no electricity easy to install and the single meter can measure multiple tanks even with different fluids.

It will only read the depth of fluid in the tank rather than the actual volume.
I wrote a small program that translates this depth to the number of Litres based on the irregular shape of the tank, but I rarely use it. The times I do want a volume reading a simple table is fine.

Re: Fuel tank monitoring system

I bought a blue seas vessel system monitor and love it. It monitors 3 tanks, bilge, ac and dc. I think they are about $300. I know they are there leading in a year or so with an updated display, better graphics, etc.
