Good quality drill bits, slow speed, plenty of pressure and cutting compound.


Plus one on this IF you truly need to drill it out. For something mobile a slow speed drill press and mounted vice make the job easier.

But still save them if you can, if for nothing else to save on the replacement cost. [emoji51] Yikes.

stainless galling is a buggar - this won't help you cut them out but on the next winch this stuff is good to stop galvanic corrosion between the ali mast and stainless screws:

stainless lubricant tef gel
