I forgot what I paid for my 1.5" one that I use for the gray water tank. But it'll be less than a new hose if you need to cut it for servicing the seacock ;-)

I have no problem removing the black wire reinforced hoses from bronze or marellon hose barbs. You get that problem when you never take the hose off for years. Twist the hose so that the wire spiral opens or help with a flat screwdriver between hose and barbs.

Usualy a little heat from a heat gun or blow dryer does the trick as well.

The forespar website has directions on how to lubricate the ball valves while the boat is in the water. You remove the hose from the valve, remove any standing water and use a drinking straw to drop mineral oil on the ball. Then reattach your hose and operate the handle a few times.
