Florida Boat Yards

Have searched around and most the info is several years old. Looking for suggestions on:
1. DIY boatyard in southern Florida, from near Ft. Lauderdale and on around to near Sarasota.

2. Boat yard really close to Ft. Lauderdale for haul out and survey.

3. Surveyor in Ft. Lauderdale.

I can recommend Playboy Marine in Dania Beach, on the Dania Cutoff Canal. Good yard, DIY and has contractors on site if you find you need it. Located at 760 Taylor Lane, Dania Beach, FL 33004. 954 920 0533.
I have been hauling my boats there since 2010. Never had a problem.

Some years ago, IIRC, the choice for DIY in Ft Laud (Dania Beach) was Playboy Marine:

I've used Playboy many years ago and I have heard it's the only DIY boatyard left in the area.

Only downside, it's a long way to anywhere unless you have a car.

For what its worth I used Brian G. Stetler as my surveyor this summer and was very pleased with him. He was very thorough and efficient. Have yet to find anything he missed.

Other responses are good. Keep one thing in mind right now and that is yards in South Florida are quite full and haul outs require reservations and scheduling. Also, surveyors are busy as well, but I do know some are leaving time for regular surveys. Just scheduling all this will not be as easy as normal.
