I'm nearing the end of my (possibly obsessive) quest to rid the
deck on my
boat from holes. Some will have to be redrilled to have
hardware replaced, but some of the
hardware isn't going back on, and some of the
repairs were due to delaminated
core, etc..
All the
repairs / patching was done with West Systems
epoxy. So, once I finally have it will in and fared nice and smooth, is there any value to trying to apply
gelcoat? or should I just prime and
paint? some mismatching of colors isn't going to bother me at this point, and I am considering applying kiwigrip to restore the anti skid (and assuming that the
epoxy should be painted first?)
