Based on my limited glass
work I think some of the finer points may just take some practice and experience in addition to knowing the techniques.
Maybe a little detail about what specific part of the boat you're working on. Also, what it is that you are trying to achieve like smoother finish, flat and level panel, gel coat match, matching texture non-skid deck or whatever.
With that I'll bet one of the glass experts on the forum could assist.
Also where are you located? In the past I've volunteered to do some of the unskilled, dirty
work for an expert in exchange for lessons on how to do the skilled part. If you're in some semi-civilized part of the world maybe someone could recommend a local repair expert to meet with.
