Took my
Wheel to the machine shop, they can tune up the
pitch no-problem,...the question is how much? The previous YSE12G had a continuous Hp of 10 turning the shaft 986
rpm with
engine @ 3000rpm.
The
wheel is 16''
3 blade 12''
pitch now, looks like it was originally 14'' pitch. New
engine has max continuous Hp of 38, with 2.15
gear ratio.
Boat is heavy 13 ton, I'll have alot more shaft
rpm, so I'm thinking 14'' pitch might be fine, I could go 16 if I want. Does anyone know a math formula that can answer this question? Could try 14, then move up if needed, but it would be nice (and cheaper) to get it right the first time.
