DYNEEMA

So its been accepted for racing for lifelines, and was thinking of changing over as mine are in need of replacement, BUT, have read a few stories of them breaking down drasticly in the sun and have a life expected of 3 to 5 years........
anybody have any first hand experance?

I plan to replace my lifelines with it and a few weeks ago I went by my fav rope shop and looked at some, and asked about the UV resistance. The gray stuff is treated for UV resistance and is supposed to hold up as long as SS, the colors are not UV resistant. Maybe someone can confirm this. It is also supposed to stretch, so be sure to splice in a turnbuckle or some way of taking up the slack over time.
