Re: Dump Airhead urine in galley sink?

Saniloo Saniloo chlorinates all macerated waist and add claim it is OK for discharge, so addition of chlorine (bleach) to urine will do the same. For discharge system use only plastic components, s/steel is not recomended.

Ah, all's well that ends well then.

Growley, I haven't had much success with that explanation at the swimming pool, but with your encouragement I'll try again. If only they'd built the diving tower to windward of the pool, would have been considerate of them....

Seriously on topic now, I remember from another similar thread here that in a certain NW Atlantic jurisdiction one is permitted to empty a container of urine over the rail, but not vent such contents directly from source. Surreal. My interim plan has now mutated into the possibility of a narrowboat on the canals of a certain NE Atlantic island, and the logisitcs of that include the possibility of a composter or cassette throne...but the problem of legally dispensing fluids into confined inland waterways looms large. Will continue research....

So, young Jedi, this explains what that white substance is emanating from your middle section!

Show biz joke . . .

Q: What's the difference between a grip and a gaffer?

A: A gaffer will take the dishes out before he pees in the sink.

I see no problem with whizzing in the sink unless you are cruising in the Amazon where they have those little swim up your willie cat fish.

Even more efficient and hygienic is kneeling in the cockpit and pissing down the cockpit drains!
Women, and males with poor aim, can place a funnel in the drain.

You are welcome.

Re: Dump Airhead urine in galley sink?

Hmmm.....a related, and totally serious point. Does anyone carry a catheter for ocean-crossing, or in the liferaft kit? Consider a blocked urethra (bladder infection due to reduced hygiene/fluid intake?); better have a way of unblocking, else you'll die of kidney failure before the rescue arrives. It's a cheap item, and not all that hard to learn to use. Not risk-free, but potentially a lifesaver. Just a thought.

Re: Dump Airhead urine in galley sink?

I used to have a friend who would pee over the side right in the marina or the anchorage--he'd face whichever boat in the area he liked the least. Always seemed to get away with it.

Re: Dump Airhead urine in galley sink?

Not a fan of composting toilets myself, but in your deck shoes.... I'd certainly walk the jug up and toss it overboard before I'd turn the galley sink into a urinal. Your thread is perhaps the most disgusting thing I've read on this forum. I'm not saying this to be judgemental or mean spirited, but rather as a former health professional hoping to change your mind from doing what you plan.... before your future dinner guests read this thread.

Frankly, I can't believe you posted this thread on a public forum.

Re: Dump Airhead urine in galley sink?

Dumping the Airhead could solve the issue.

Re: Dump Airhead urine in galley sink?

Hmmm......the Mittelstrahl enthusiasts would be of two minds about it.

Perhaps the thread was an attempt at leg-pulling, or a fiendish plot to entrap the grots of CF?
