Dodger Strataglass Covers

This has been touched on before but has anyone found a material that can be used as covers on the dodger Strataglass while the boat is not occupied? I've seen some people just use sunbrella but that seems likely to scratch over time.

My concern is bird poop. If you're not there to clean it off the damage to the Strataglass quickly becomes permanent. What about something like chamois towel material?

Re: Dodger Strataglass Covers

When I designed and created my custom enclosure I used Sunbrella Supreme, partially because part of my enclosure included a sunshade to cover my Strataglass windows.

The Sunbrella Supreme has a soft flocking on the interior.

My experience after several years is that the Strataglass is not degraded at all from continuous surface-to-surface contact w/ the flocking.

Re: Dodger Strataglass Covers

We used regular sunbrella - seems to work just fine. Have not noticed any scratching. The biggest benefit IMO is simply keeping the UV radiation off. Bird poop seems to go right through the edges unless you have the edges tucked.
