Re: Do Calipers Get Lubricated??

I have a plastic dial caliper. An inexpensive item that I have even used underwater, yes salt water, rinse, wipe, air dry. This may not be the most accurate caliper but it serves well and is not inaccurate.

Re: Do Calipers Get Lubricated??

The steel analog vernier caliper that came with my boat when I bought it had a few dark spots of corrosion and it was a bit stuck with not smooth adjustment at all. I gave it some generous wd40 treatment and good exercise and wiped off any excess, and its been working faultlessly ever since.
