Diesel Smell

i have one locker next to the fuel tank that always has a strong diesel odor. i have gone through the fuel tank locker cant find any leaks no wetness but there is always a strong smell. i can see the fuel tank locker but why the adjacent locker. anyone have any suggestions

Have you checked the vent hose from the tank? Is it secured to a fitting that leads outside the hull? Maybe the vent line is loose and venting odor into the adjacent locker?

Can you see underneath the fuel tank? On older boat, I had a medium diesel odor and no signs of leakage, but pulled tank and discovered pinholes allowing diesel to seep into shelf under tank. Solved by welding new bottom on tank and replacing shelf.....
