Diesel Engine Selection

Check out my post Diesel Engine Fiasco Confessional in the engine thread. Don't select your engine the way I did. I chose a replacement engine based on what was there before so it would be an easy fit. That was big mistake number 1 and the wrong way to go!! Since starting my rebuild I've decided to do away with the V-Drive, moved the engine bed more forward and replaced the transmission.
Please don't repeat my mistakes.
