Derigging a Ranger 33

Hi All,
just wondering if anyone has derigged a Ranger 33 or might know of someone that might have had it done........I had a quote for derigging at about $2000 in Long Beach.......

What's involved.......a crane that holds the mast while all the stays and shrouds are let go and then layed on deck......simpletons view of course...

If you are unstepping the mast.....make sure that YOU disconnect the wires leading up. I have rewired my share of masts where the yoyo's in the yard just cut the wires...they don't care...they won't see the boat again....

Find a friend with a larger boat, rig a gin pole off his mast and you will have it down in a hour or so. We did it with our Morgan 35 took about and hour each way.
