DC Ground Point Perkins 4.108

I am in the process of wiring in a Perkins 4.108 and am trying to find out where the DC ground point is usually placed on these engines. As I have been looking around there is a bolt on the starboard engine mount bracket that is hanging loose with nothng connected to it and was thinking maybe this was the attachment point.

My plan is to ground all three batteries as well as the starter to a single point. In addition is it required to have continuity through the shaft or is the ground just to the motor sufficient?

Thanks

Chris,
The ground on my 4-108 is on the port side, near the starter motor. It is on one of the bolts that mounts the starter motor.
So how close are you to becoming an actual boat (in the water)?

There's probably a high resistance "continuity between the Engine Block and propeller (through the transmission, & shaft).
A shaft brush is usually installed & bonded.

Hey Cap'n really good to hear from you, thought you might have gotten caught up in some wild naitive ritual in an unknown port. So the ground for all your bats connect to the starter mounting bolt including the starter gound as well ?

Any brush to shaft or just ending ground st motor?
