Xymotic

You know the old adage:

If you can baffle them with your brilliance,
befuddle them with your ********

Is your proposed color scheme a variation of the above? LOL

Our books have gotten 5 star reviews on Amazon. Several readers have written "I never thought I would go on a circumnavigation, but when I read these books, I was right there in the cockpit with Vinni and Carsten"

Boat: So many boats to choose from. Would prefer something that is not an AWB, and that is beachable...

Increasingly builders are offering boats in other colors. However sails are typically still white. What would be a good color? And how easy would it be to get for example a mainsail with the top in orange?

Perhaps the horizontal stripes make them look thinner?

It's supposed to work for dresses.

Ooops - not PC (OK BC)

Sails aren't always up, particularly in a rescue situation where you really want high visibility. Paint the top third of your mast blaze orange, I've done it to a number of cruising boats. Really stands out and actually looks OK.

Re: Dazzle anyone?

I wouldn't do it for the reasons of visibility , creating suspicion, and also being a visual polluter. Imagine that moored in a nice quiet scenic bay. Yuck!
On the other hand, its just paint, and if it does not work out it is easily changed so if it really grabs you, why not?

Regards,
Richard.
