Probably not a good idea to use this stuff in your camo quest:

Re: Dazzle anyone?

Putting aside, the safety aspect (of reduced visibility of a camouflage boat), I'd say do it - just to be different. But then again I won't be the one who'll live with it day in day out.

From an individual standpoint, do it. From a boating safety standpoint, don't.

Re: Dazzle anyone?

Personally, I think it would look bloody awful. Here's a few land based examples which may help you to devise a more decorative solution.

Re: Dazzle anyone?

I dunno, mon, you got weird ideas. Look how you painted your dog.
I think it'd be ok, but instead of sharks teeth how about walrus tusks?

It's located in Storm King....a sculpture park in NY
The Artist is well known
If not mistaken it is an America cup boat

Are you referring to Storm King Art Center outside Washingtonville?

While I wouldn't like it personally, it's not going to be any less visible than all the white boats out there. I like colorful boats, but that just looks ugly to me. On the other hands, people say that about mine ;-)

I say if you like it, do it!

And I really don't think the "man" will care. Now paint it flat black...yeah that could be bad

Thanks for the info, it's Roy Lichtenstein and that is way, way way beyond what I had in mind. And I gotta be honest and say a walrus would be more fitting for my boat lol

Out of curiosity how would they have painted that? It surely wasn't done by hand by an old man. not to mention the drag of actual paint. screen printing in the mold?
