Couldn't say for sure,,but it's logical that sea
water would act as an electrolyte especially with copper nearby and a generated
electric current.
He's the Cathode and your the Anode in this case.
It will be interesting to see how the science plays out on these devices,,if it's how i think it will go,,there could be a lot of claims for damages from people just like yourself.
