Cutty McCut-a-Lot

idk if anyone will know the answer to this one... sure am hoping someone does thou...

my holding tank (of unknown condition) is under the v-berth. i expected to find an access panel but to no avail.

working under the impression that the horizontal berth FG is providing structural integrity, can i cut the FG, access (inspect / replace) the tank and fabricate an access panel without weakening the hull?

any smarties out there have some advice for me?

thx.
