There was a post, on here I think, about Coppercoat, something I'd never heard about. I asked around a little and found some boats who'd used it. Without exception, they were all very happy about it. One boat had gone 11 years without needing further bottom paint
. I saw one boat hauled out after 7 years with no growth on the bottom, but quite a bit on the prop after sitting unused for 4 months. I'm convinced and having it applied in September before heading off to the Canaries
and then points west.
A caveat, I don't know any boats that have sat in the sort of warm water
experienced in the Southern states. The experience may be different there.
