Re: Construction Thread for Custom 45' Cruising Powercat

This is the 1st thread I always check every day for new updates. Just watching the build from day 1 to now has been simply amazing. Beautiful work!

The deed is done

She floated off the trailer about 11 am. The northeaster brought the tide.
I am at a Christmas party, and as soon as I get home I will post pictures.

"Then the Master,
With a gesture of command,
Waved his hand;
And at the word,
Loud and sudden there was heard,
All around them and below,
The sound of hammers, blow on blow,
Knocking away the shores and spurs.
And see! she stirs!
She starts, — she moves, — she seems to feel
The thrill of life along her keel,
And, spurning with her foot the ground,
With one exulting, joyous bound,
She leaps into the ocean's arms"

Re: Construction Thread for Custom 45' Cruising Powercat

Bravo,

Looks like there will be plenty of weight carrying capacity given how high she is floating on her lines.

Congratulations on a successful launch. I look forward to the sea trails.

Test Trials

Sea trials in the morning.

We have been commissioning equipment and chasing the normal gremlins.

Had a bad voltage regulator out of the box, and after 2 days of people telling me I had something wired wrong, I changed the regulator and the problem went away.

she is fully loaded with water, 300 gals, and half load of fuel, 360 gals and it has set her down nicely.

Waiting on chain, and that should get her nice and trim.

Engines are ready, and all of the systems are getting into shape.

Just getting everything tuned in right.

Thank you. Like all of them, we are working out the gremlins, but there have not been many, and so far, very minor.

Maybe by the end of the week, all of them will be gone.

What I hate is when you check something out, and it works perfect, and you go back to it 2 days later and it doesn't. That is what I don't get.
But I will find it.

Inverters are a pain in the ass sometimes.
